Il Buco Alimentari is now offering a subscription of our signature olive oils, so you can cook and entertain without ever having to worry about running out of your most essential ingredient.
This subscription consists of a 500ml bottle of olive oil delivered on a monthly basis of three, six or twelve months. Your subscription will include a rotation of our three signature olive oils throughout the cycle of your choosing.
Descriptions of our rotating olive oils:
Grown in the arid soils of western Sicily, this monoculture of Biancolilla olives produces a rare and delicate, low yielding oil with the fragrance of the Sicilian orange blossom and a delicate fruity flavor with a soft spicy finish.
Culinary Pairings: Recommended with creamed vegetables, salads, or fish, and can also be used for light sautéed sauces for pastas.
L’Azienda Baita was founded in 1999. All their olive groves are situated on typical Ligurian terraces, 500-700 meters above sea level. The Taggiasca olives are grown on steep Ligurian hillsides and are picked by hand. Over the centuries of being grown there, they have become known for their delicate, grassy flavor with a mild nutty finish.
Culinary Pairings: Ideal for fish, raw seafood, delicate salads, vegetables, for fried fish dishes, and is excellent for dessert preparation.
Grown for centuries by our dear friends, the Pandolfi-Elmi family, in the hills of Foligno, the moraiolo is a powerful, dark green, superior fruit with a super grassy aroma and spicy finish.
Culinary pairings: Unheated to finish roast of red meats or grilled vegetables as well as on bruschetta and hearty legume soups.
