These oven to table serving wares are produced by a family of artisans in the Marche, close to the Umbrian border. Made entirely by hand, on the potters wheel, they are finished in non-toxic glazes. Terra cotta heats very evenly, making these casseroles perfect for preparing slow cooked meals, including roasts, stews and soups.
To prep our terra cotta casseroles for use in the oven, soak base and top in water, fully immersed, for 24 hours prior to first use. Subsequent use of the casserole will not require prep.
